Bratislava, Slovakia — June 8, 2010 — ORIWIN, SAP NetWeaver integrator and Resco, supplier of advanced developer components and tools for mobile devices released an updated version of FAIN (Fixed Assets Inventory) — a ready-made solution for fixed assets management and inventory. The solution is integrated into the SAP ERP environment.

The updated version of FAIN brings a heap of new functionality. The changes were elaborated based on feedback from our customers. Thus, the new version meets all technological demands of the current fixed assets tracking industry.

„We’ve decided to release an updated version that improves user comfort and solution’s useability,“ said Miroslav Pomsar, Resco Enterprise developer. „FAIN now represents the universal fixed assets tracking solution with the richest functionality in the market.“

Here is the overview of the updates:

  • the SAP import file now contains the assets‘ status — this allows to see which fixed assets are confirmed on the mobile device in real time when repetitively importing data from SAP;
  • support of multiple stocktaking inventories within a single stocktaking plus new functionality for conflict-solving in multiple inventories;
  • new options for definition of legacy bar code fomat of particular fixed assets and rooms;
  • new control of the format of input values (e.g. the text values cannot be inserted into numeric field);
  • new cost center control for each room.

The new changes improve functionality and contribute positivelly to the overall useablity. Yet these updates are not final. ORIWIN and Resco plan a new major release in Q3 2010. The new most important features will include support of RFID, extended reporting, automatic update of the mobile application and even more. Detailed press release can be expected in Q3.
