You won’t believe how much time people have to spend all day and night posting meaningless comments on blog sites like this one.  These comments contain links to mostly fraudulent or malicious websites that can harm you.  If we would allow this to happen, you would have to sift through 100′s of spam comments before you can see some meaningful comments to discuss with the poster. If a comment is related to the content of  a specific post and links to a SAP related blog or website, we are all for it to be posted as soon as possible.

Therefore, we have adopted a no spam tolerance and only allow comments that are related to a specific post so that we keep this blog free from junk. So, please don’t hesitate to add your view to the posts so that we can improve the quality of the content and also provide solutions for other ideas or issues you may encounter.

A few days ago, a friend sent me a link to a site called Wolfram|Alpha. I thought that would be a usual website like 1000′s of other websites out there. But when I looked at the demo, it blew my socks off.

Check out the example, like comparing SAP with Oracle. Of course, you can search anything you want or need more information about and the web service will give you the information you may look for. Try it out and become a fan as well!

Last month a world-wide survey was conducted by the UN.

The only question asked was:- “Would you please give your honest opinion about solutions to the food shortage in the rest of the world?”

The survey was a huge failure because of the following:

• In Eastern Europe they didn’t know what “honest” meant.
• In Western Europe they didn’t know what “shortage” meant.
• In Africa they didn’t know what “food” meant.
• In China they didn’t know what “opinion” meant.
• In the Middle East they didn’t know what “solution” meant.
• In South America they didn’t know what “please” meant.
• In the US they didn’t know what “the rest of the world” meant.
• In Australia they hung up because they didn’t like and couldn’t understand the Indian accent.

The European Commission has just announced that English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as  “Euro-English”.

In the first year, “s” will replace the soft “c”.

Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard “c” will be dropped in favour of “k”. This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter. There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome “ph” will be replaced with “f”. This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where! more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Also, al wil agre that the horibl mes of the silent “e” in the languag is disgrasful and it should go away. By the 4th yer people wil be reseptiv to steps such as replasing “th” with “z” and “w” with “v”.
